For those of you coming from West
Seattle and points north to any of the Renton sites, I recommend you look into exiting from I-5 onto Martin
Luther King Way at milepost 157, just beyond (south of) Boeing Field. MLK Way will take you straight
into downtown Renton, and if you are going to Renton H. S. all you have to do is
jog a couple of blocks north (to your left as you enter town.) The fly in this ointment is that the city is
full of one-way streets, so that jog sounds simpler than it really is (S 3rd goes
east, while S 2nd goes west.) But this avoids the whole South Center
traffic jam. Look to park in the parking lot that opens onto north side of the campus
on Tobin St.
The MLK Way shortcut is also helpful for our Sunday practices as there are some
quick ways to Lindbergh from downtown Renton. Ditto for practices at the
Renton Community Center.
